First Semester

 

 

The studio work during the semester is based on the context of the movie DUNE.Each of the excercises were done according to the characteristic of the place, actors and topic of the movie, learning about  the diferent relations that we can find in specific design contexts.

 

 

Works:

 

1 - Utility Extension :  During this excersice students design a  utility  extension  for the actors,which provides them th capacity to scape during a battle in the desert.

 

2 - Cavity in the desert - first space : This exercise is realted to the undesrtanding of  designing a space for the actors in the desert.The exersice is a one week project to get involve in the final architecture project of the studio.

 

3 - Virtual Extension - second space : Students  design a virtual extension , showing  their undestnading of the movie context using innovative  and personal methods through  technology.

Many of the methods are prototypes design by students  presented during an open door gallery.

 

4 - The Project - third space : According to the context of the movie, students design an architecture project for one of the  groups of people in the movie. The architecture and design features demostrtates a complete understanding of the context and topic of the movie, through conceptual, structural and functiolality design.
