Bussines & Extended - Stay Hotel

 

 

This semester the students participated in a virtual studio project with Ball State University in Indiana Usa.The task was to design a Business & Extended-Stay Hotel within the IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University of Indiana) Campus.

The main clientele of the hotel are the accompanying families of patients at neighboring hospitals in the Campus (Riley Hospital for Children, Wishard Memorial Hospital, Indiana University Hospital) and other clients on medical business-related activities. Because of location, accessibility, and relationship with neighboring hospitals the hotel has considerable feasibility to become an effective “surge hospital”; the hotel was designed having in mind its potential functional transformation in the case of an emergency .
